Psychology is a general introduction to the science of behavior (chemistry, biology, research methodology, etc.). The class offers students the opportunity to begin to look at their own lives, gaining insight and understanding into their behavior (as well as that of others), with hope of providing them with a greater degree of perspective and direction.
Here's a cool assessment on Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. It takes a few minutes and suggests strengths in various styles of learning.
