Cardio Health

  • Improve or maintain and track the 5 areas of health related fitness
  • Be able to set and implement realistic personalized nutritional, wellness, and fitness goals
  • Understand and be able to demonstrate knowledge in the area of drugs and their effects on the body and brain.
  • Provide useful and accurate information on a chosen disease or disorder and be able to reiterate information provided by other students
  • Learn and practice how mental health and self-esteem is developed and improved
  • Be a successful part of a collaborative team
PE - 9
  • Improve or maintain cardiovascular fitness
  • Demonstrate proper sportsmanship and teamwork
  • Be able to understand and demonstrate the correct technique and skills for the selected activities
  • Be able to understand, interpret, and demonstrate the rules and strategies of individual and team sports covered in the class
  • Learn and explain the history of activities and sports covered in class
  • Effectively communicate in small groups during a team situation
Basketball
  • To learn and demonstrate fundamentals skills to enhance basketball performance
  • To learn about, develop and maintain good cardiovascular health
  • To learn and demonstrate positive sportsmanship within class and in competition
  • Our students use technology and video to self critic and improve skills and performance
  • To learn and demonstrate the ability to use teamwork in order to make all feel important and have self worth

Physical Fitness

Soccer

Team Sports

Yoga

  • Learn and demonstrate various yoga positions/poses
  • Understand and be able to express the health benefits of yoga
  • Show the knowledge to modify poses for different abilities
