![]() Johnny Hillmen is a 1996 Placer graduate and 2001 UC Davis graduate, with a degree in Photography. He has taught in the Applied Arts department at Placer High School since 2001. Throughout his time at Placer, he has taught English, World Studies, L.O.O.P, German, Physical Education and AP Coloring. In addition to teaching, Johnny also coaches Freshman football and both boys and girls wrestling. Having been a Hillmen, Mr. Hillmen knows the importance of carrying on the traditions of such a special place, which is why he bleeds Green and Gold and constantly reminds students to, "Do their homework!." Johnny Hillmen was drafted in the first round by the Dallas Cowboys in 1998 but opted to become a teacher instead.
This innovative Algebra program uses a hybrid model of a Bill Gates and Hewlett Packard funded, rigorous on-line course, a state of the art Prentiss Hall 2009 edition hardcopy and on-line Algebra 1 text book, and intensive direct teaching in a small group format.
